The 2nd International Vilnius Neuroscience Conference for Young Researchers
After a successful launch last year, the 2nd International Vilnius Neuroscience Conference for Young Researchers will bring together young investigators in clinical neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, neuroscience, and related fields to present their work, connect with peers, and learn from invited speakers.
Alongside invited lectures, a major part of the conference will feature presentations by undergraduate and graduate students, resident doctors, and young researchers. Separate sessions will be held in neurology, neurosurgery, toxicology, psychiatry, and neuroscience. Prizes will be awarded to the best speakers.

Prof. Makoto Suematsu
Prof. Makoto Suematsu is a distinguished Japanese scientist and academic with a long-standing international reputation in biomedical research. He served as the Founding President of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and is currently Professor Emeritus at Keio University School of Medicine as well as Research Director at the Central Institute for Experimental Medicine and Life Science. His research spans gas biology, metabolomics, metabolic imaging of cancer, microcirculatory physiology and translational experimental platforms. Prof. Suematsu has played a key role in fostering scientific collaboration between Japan and institutions worldwide, and in 2018 he was awarded the Cross of Officer of the Order for Merits to Lithuania for his contributions to medical cooperation and research.
